Big D's mow gridder

Post  Big D on Tue Aug 23, 2011 7:54 pm

I was requested to upload this script. It goes in the scripts/mombot/commands/grid directory. This is a mombot addon, and requires mombot to run it. It is not safe at all, and the user should only use this script to grid early in the game before mobile planets are available.

type : "mowgrid help" at the mombot command prompt for help with the variables.

None of my scripts have been tested with the latest versions of TWGS so use at your own risk. I have also include the .ts file in case it needs changes made to work with the new version of TWGS.

It's fine to upload scripts as long as you don't get carried away. We only have so much space for uploads in this forum and I'd like to keep it to a minimum. I would rather anyone wanting to post a script or an attachment upload the file to your own webspace and post a link to that file.

Thank you

It's alright early in a game or in non aggressive games.

Is this safe? I mean, does it grid randomly to prevent ambushes? Kind of new to this... I am in a game with an edit that I never played and would like to kill off figs and lay my own without getting podded.

It mows to random unfigged sectors. However, it mows in a straight line and is vulnerable to pdrops and adjacent photons. It's ok to use it early in a game before mobile planets are available or in truce games.
